Any recommendations? Ideally as light yet as cheap as possible with braking surface and 130mm wide on the rear.

(No this isnt an opportunity to offer me heavily used wheels at 70% of RRP) 😉

Why not look at some old ones and add a washer to bring it out to 130.
Nice spec ones are cheap

Track wheels be 126mm - but you knew that right .... Its just an attempt to be fashionable isnt it ?

If the bike is steel id cold set it to be 126 and open alot more options for cheap track wheels

Harry Rowland will build you a fine set of Miche low flange/Sapim/Open Pros for about £280. I have ridden mine for 18mo through two winters and they are a joy. You'll need to replace the tracknuts regularly as they rust in the salt

Are you going to use them on the track or is it just for a Singlespeed/Commuter/Play bike.

If its the latter options its worth looking at some geared roadbike wheels and using a singlespeed sprocket and spacers.

Using a similar setup on my Mutant CX/MTB and it makes it very easy to adjust chainline and swap sprockets for different gearing plus you will have loads more options for wheels.

Track wheels are usually 120mm wide on the rear. Old 6 or 7 speed road bikes are 126mm. Though if its a steel frame, you can usually spring it in or out a bit anyway.

I like my Goldtec track hubs, but they are not cheap. They are available in whatever axle size you need. And are very reliable, done thousands of miles on mine, in all sorts of weather.
