I have an old Thule Euroway 3 cycle tow bar mounted carrier. The one the wheels sit on not hang on type.

With new wider axle standards and stouter (35/36mm) forks, I cannot get 3 bikes on anymore without serious rubbing.

The centres between the bikes is 17cm, I notice new ones are now 18 or 19cm.

Ideally I like one with say 22cm spacing (another 5cm over what I have).

Does anyone know of a manufacturer of such things for 3 bikes?

Aiston (and if he doesn't, they're made to order so I'm sure he would tweek one if you asked nicely).

Mine's sized for fat bikes with 4" tyres and clearing the spare tyre on a 4x4 (and 800mm handlebars).

And you put that on the C-Max? 😯

Atera won't do you. While they were reasonably spaced of old, my Strada rack would be no good for boost spacing.

+1 for Aiston. No faffing getting bikes on without rubbing. Dismantles quickly for storage. Very secure.

Plumbers pipe lagging on the fork legs.

far cheaper than changing racks.

Thule 928 is 22cm
Thule 929 is 19cm

I have a 928 and the 928-1 adapter which mounts the third bike further up. I have also increased the slot width to allow the 2nd bike to be mounted further left or right if needed.

Just use pipe lagging between the rubby bits.

Edit: beaten to it.....

pipe lagging no good, the spacing is so tight that the 2nd and 3rd bikes aren't even upright because they are being forced apart by touching the bike in front.

Used to work fine with QR 32mm forks and QR rears

Tried to carry 3 bikes over the weekend and had to dismantle one and put in the car.
