We are thinking about buying the tout terrain singletrailer. We both bike a lot ( I rode the red at Llandegla two days before she was born) and feel that this should give us the most scope to bike with our new addition to the house. Has anyone got one, tried one, seen one or heard anything about one ?

'That sounds interesting', I thought. Looked it up on google and wondered why I didn't have one. Then I saw the price! Looks great though and avoids the width issues I suffer with with our trailer for the little one.

Not seen one of these before, however, could I ask some questions and then give you my 2p's worth from my experience........
I take it your little'un is less than 3? if so then he/she needs to be strapped into something similar to the trailer youre looking at or one of the more common ones with two wheels.
Positives of using these are:-
They can fall asleep safely, which they will do if out for more than 30 minutes.
you can take all the stuff and but in the back, changing bags etc.
If the weather changes it is pretty waterproof and doesnt get splashed too much or sun burnt (less so if in UK!)
Negatives
Depending on where you are riding the width is an issue, my 2 wheeler wouldnt fit through the horse gates on our local path! and I rolled it when I tried to do some singletrack which was off camber.....Dont tell the Wife!
It also wont be long before you upgrade to a tagalong which is far more fun and less restrictive.

Looking at your suggested trailer I would say that you wouldnt actually need just one wheel and suspension (unless youre rich - in which case do it!!) If you ride somewhere narrow then the body will still hit and a small wheel will still bounce little'un around even with suspension. Much better to get a trailer with at least 20" wheels on.

I upgraded our tagalong by putting a 24" wheel and large volume tyres on which roll over the terrain much easier (think 29" MTB's)

He loves it and has been on it since he was 3,,,when I replaced the cranks with foot pegs,, he's getting a big heavy now (me too now,,) and is itching to use his own bike.

Good luck and have fun.

PS sorry about my bum in the video.......
