I had a puncture yesterday and managed to break yet another pump ,the third in recent months. Any suggestions for a pump that will survive my ham fistedness?

Workshop or trail pump? Which ones have you broken previously?

Trail, a metal Specialized one and two generic plastic ones, can't remember the makes.

I'd be looking at why you keep getting so many punctures.

It's not the punctures, I seem to break them when just adding a little air.

Lezyne Micro Mini - best pump I've ever had. Small, but really works.

For a tough trail pump my Blackburn mammoth with built inCo2 inflator has been great

Only downside for me is it can only carry a 16g cannister, a 25g wont fit inside the pump handle

How are you breaking them?

Choose a pump with a rubber hose. It means you can move the body of the pump around while you pump & makes it less likely you’ll damage it or the valve.

I use a Lezyne Micro Floor Drive HV, it's not small but when you actually need air in your tyres then it beats any small pump. It's very well made and also comes with a bracket to fit alongside your water bottle. The screw on head can be frustrating but it comes with a push on adapter

Never broken a Truflo, they do tend to fall apart a little bit- stuff comes unscrewed- but they always go back together.

How am I breaking them? A range of disasters. I broke the actual valve fitting on one of the plastics, the Spec just fell apart and the handle came off the other. Just general clumsiness really.
Some useful suggestions above, thank you.

Lezyne do ones that are fully metal so should be harder to break and are definitely better made than other pumps I've had

I like the Lezyne ones though they do occasionally unscrew the core on tubeless valves, which can be irritating. Fine if you nip them up tight tho. I have four of the things on different bikes and they're all still going strong, spares/rebuild kits available too. That said I tend to wear pumps out rather than snap bits off them.

I have a valve cap with a core remover to avoid unscrewing issues. My pump also came with a push on adaptor so you don't have to screw

All my Lezyne pumps are still going strong after many years of abuse and neglect.
I have 2 smallish pumps, a mini-track pump and the high pressure track pump. All battered and abused

No love for the Mtn Morph? I've had mine since 2007, and it's the one everyone asks for, when we do have a puncture.. I'd say it was pretty durable (except for the footpad)

Track pump with a Quick connect/lever type head kept in the garage/shed for pre-ride top ups, don't use frame-mount/mini pumps for normal daily pressure adjustments, they're emergency tools really.
