replacing chainrings on a FSA compact tonight - online chart says 0.7 - 1.5 nm for the crank bolt (which preloads the bb bearings).
1 remember someone before posting a ready reckoner for torque settings/vs how tight by hand without a wrench. I am thinking 1Nm is something like very light hand tight ?
any simple comarisons ?

1Nm isn't very much - more like 'nipped up' than 'my thumb hurts'

1Nm is 1 newton force at the end of a 1m long lever. Or 1kg at the end of a 10cm long lever (bag of sugar at the end of a longish allen key). Nipped up.
