Has anyone one of the Torm double front layer jersey's?

I am really tempted as a treat for a mild but not warm jersey....

I might be, but:

- Merino wool 39% Polyester 61%

That's pretty rubbish, I don't see the point of paying a premium for a merino top, when it's not really a merino top.

I've got a Soigneur merino jersey and it's really good for 'mild but not warm' riding, and, indeed, with a base layer and/or shell, blimmin' cold riding. They're probably not that much more than the Torm ones and they're full merino and the quality is superb

These are the "wind resistant jerseys. I'm also interested in any real world experience. (£80-90 is a lot of money for a jersey to me)

Edit: @IHN - my wife has 2 Torm jerseys. They're really nice and the sportwool blend is easy care and works well.

Can't help with the double-front one, but I have been using a regular long sleeve one for a good few years now. It's fairly battered but still keeps going. Fixed the zip once. Comfy and durable and easy to look after - tumble-dryable too.

*The* best winter baselayer I have is a Helly Hansen mix of Merino and Poly. It wicks like a summer baselayer, is warm like full Merino in the damp, and just feels lovely. You can bung it through machine wash and tumble dry too. It surprised me - I bought it for winter canoeing and standing around, and it has become my favourite baselayer. Now about dead and needing replacement...

My options are Torm or Pearl Izumi merino one as well from Cyclestore.

when it’s not really a merino top.

Are any of them 100% merino, and would you want that? It would just shrink on the first wash, go out of shape and itch like crazy. I think most (cycling anyway) mixes are about that ratio, aren't they?

I've a Torn top that's lasted exceptionally well. Still the smartest jersey I own, and it's years old.

Soigneur ones are. Mine's not itchy, washable on delicates/wool/handwash setting (and doesn't need washing very often thanks to merino's anti-stink-ness), stays in shape fine. And looks the bollocks too (long sleeve version of this):

Full merino is shite if you get all sweaty then stop in the cold. Blend is much better.

My torn jersey is great.

had a look at your link, and at more or less the same price as the Torn one, it does look nice.
