What's everyone using on their mounts, there doesn't seem to be a lot out there, besides straps like the nukeproof one with the anodised plate for an innertube thats exposed to the elements or topeaks ninja, seeing as most frames now come with this mount I was expecting more innovative products out there.

I don’t have fancy mounts under the top tube but I use the 76 Projects little Piggy with the waterproof stuffsac on one set of normal bottle cage mounts and it’s been rock solid

I don't see the benefit in having tools/tubes getting cover in mud that can cause issues. I stick my tools in a bumbag, backpack or pocket as they keep them much cleaner.

What’s the difference between a waterproof pouch fixed under the down tube or on the bottle bosses v a waterproof pouch under the saddle - except that the one under the saddle gets even muddier and if it falls off you don’t realise till you are back at the car….

Edit Sorry misread - many people don’t like carrying stuff on them. I much prefer to put stuff on the bike rather than on me, not least because I’m less likely to forget it

The Dakine one is good, loads of colour options for about £20 I think

I've got the 76 Projects one with the zip up case. Everything is solid and it keeps your tools clean and dry.

My only niggle is that the pouch is about 5mm too long to sit inside the lips on the bracket so you have to kind of squash it in. Seems a bit weird for 2 things from the same company designed to work together.

I’ve been using one of the bottle things that fits in a normal cage. Fits quite a good amount of stuff including a tube, multi tool, (very) mini pump etc. Keeps stuff clean and it’s always on the bike.

I use a frame bag. I have a Possum from Alpkit and for bikepacking a custom made full frame bag made by Beerbabe.

Yeah we messed up there but didn't want to compromise the length of the zip case when it's used on its own or with other products. As you say because the case is flexible it can still be squeezed in.
We also have the Micro Piggy which is smaller with no lips, it's specifically meant for under top tube and can stick on if you have no bosses there.

And the QR Zip case.

@cheers_drive no micro case/pouch for the micro piggy? QR piggy case seems a bit wide to have high up there like on the Nukeproof.

I use a 76 projects that I've had for 3ish years.
The mount queue well.

Not a big fan of the zip bag though as it's not that easy to access.
All very well made though.

Granite designs also offer some similar products.

Edit: looks like 76 projects sell a different case and that looks much more accessible based on zip location. I'll still go with a roll for off road riding though.

Me too, it's much better IMO. I have a little waterproof pouch (I made it from duct tape since the exact thing didn't exist) and a frame strap. CO2 / tube / tyre levers there for emergencies. Fit and forget - until you need them which is very rare these days.

76 projects bag pairs nicely with the Nukeproof mount & strap, that's what I have under the TT on my Roost, no issues with it being too wide

I use a little bag attached under the top tube on my eBike, and on my Cotic I've one that sits 'down' in the bottom of the triangle.

I've put one of these on the hardtail, as well as on the full-suss... such a good placement for storage, down out of the way.

I use a small Huck strap and drybag to keep a tube, tiny CO2 inflator, 2 canisters and a tiny Topeak multi tool on my bag at all times (strapped to the seat tube out the way). Anything else goes in a back pack or pockets depending on what kind of ride I’m on.

My bike doesn’t have extra mounts and the bottle bosses hold a Fidlock bottle.
