.........I started a new project. I have some treaded 700/36 tyres to fit so should be ok for back lanes and tow paths. Comments ?

Too windy to ride? On the road maybe, but never too windy off road.

I've just been out, went out last night as well.
Both times i got soaked to the skin and blown around but it was well worth the effort!

Out riding today I watched a tree get blown over, and then had to climb over another two that were blocking the path. If I'd have been under any of these 3, I would say that yes, there is such a thing as too windy to ride off road.

Well I managed to do a few miles on the old cronk today. I had to take the mudguards off for tyre clearance but the big tyres are comfy. It rides ok if a little small for me . It was too good to throw in the skip.
