DH season is fast approaching and I really want to be able watch it live, last season wasn't the same just with YT highlights. I don't have Amazon Prime or Sky, and don't want them either. I'm on a phone contract that doesn't have a discounted HBO subscription as an option, are there any other options to get it without a second mortgage, or am I just going to have to suck it up?

Also, what are the options with ads like? I can't generally be doing with ad interruptions every 5 minutes these days, YouTube premium has been worth the money to me

Just went EE for broadband and the Sport TV package with TNT (via HBO) is £25. I'm sure its available without the broadband. Don't get the Sky Sports channels, that's what bumps it up. Now TV with sports, only gives you Sky Sports and that's £28 going up to £35 after 6 months.

After using a Sky HD box for the past gawdknowshowlong, using all these apps with their ads is pretty horrendous I must say. But no choice now. Good thing is, you can record on the EE TV Box and Ffwd over the ads.

Cheapest way is one of the all-in-one boxes like my brother has - £10 a month after buying the box. But I don't trust it to always be available myself.

I’d be prepared to pay £25 to see all the DH races, maybe double that, but not £150 to cover the six months at £25 a month 🙁

It's not too bad as its bundled in with my Broadband.  However it's got motorsport and motorbike racing which improves the value a lot for me.  If it was just DH I'd not be watching

I don't have Amazon Prime

I don't think I've been paying attention, but can you stream the DH and XCO via discovery+ add on in prime? or is it extra on top of that?

It was the ads that convinced me to cancel TNT, slap bang in the middle of a live CX race, always seemed to be when something exciting happened.

Worse yet they were the worst sort of demographically targeted ads for hair loss/ grey hair treatment, viagra, expensive watches, investment apps, George Clooney selling Nestle coffee etc. etc.

Final straw was when I tried to skip through the ads and got stuck in some sort of infinite loop, missed three laps of Namur 😖
