I saw a set today and it got me thinking about trying them.
Has anyone used them and what are your opinions
I like mine, only downfall is i'm using a 100mm 40 degree rise stem to get them in the right place which in my opinion looks very fugly!
But Chris thats how the yoof are using them these days on the chase. Just go with the crowd... ๐
I love them. Have a set on my singlespeed and another set that I'm not sure what to do with just yet. Haven't riden them on a geared bike yet so not sure how well that would work unless you had Shimano flippy shifters.
If you can get past the appearance, they are superbly comfortable bars which give you loads of hand positions. Mike Davis did an excellent review over on Bike Radar
i have a new set of the J-Bars for sale, and a 2 ride old set as well.......
also have some XTR flippy shifters that work with them.
I had them on a off road tandem using old old DX thumbshifters. Great bars, lots of control, lots of hand positions. The downsides are weight, difficulty of set up with shifters and general fugglyness
Trev, email me photos and prices please! Especially of the shifters.
