Twas most excellent. Food, white wine, beer, hosts, cake and red wine were top notch. Trails were pretty flippin' smashing too.

I'm looking at going in September. Slightly worried that it's going to be a bunch of XC whippets there, and that I won't be able to keep up.

the xc whippets will suffer. plus steve is an ace guide. he shows you stuff he thinks you will like then pushes you a little bit too.

Yo Kramer, fear not, we don't do XC whippetry here. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to keep up.

Seriously speaking, unless we arrange an XC week specially for a big group, all of our riding is focussed on the descents, not the climbs. In September, with the lifts closed, there will be some climbing required but generally in the region of 1hr / 400m vertical per day tops. We think most of our guests want to ride the same trails we do - long, flowing singletrack descents with just the right amount of technical difficulty.

do not take an xc bike

Oh dear, I'm off there on Saturday and I'm taking a Soda and a Road bike! Though to be fair I'm only taking the roadie so that I can winch up an alpine pass, just to do 50/60 mph down the other side ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

Anyone been to the white room and Freeridespain? I'm hoping it'll be FRS turned up to 11 ๐Ÿ˜€

Pics look ace and I'm more excited than a very exited thing waiting for my week in the Alps!

Trustyrusty: Soda will be fine, as long as you know how to ride it!

Haven't been to Freeridespain, but I've ridden in the Sierra Nevada with Switchbacks. Our trails have a similar level of difficulty, a little more roots, a little less rocks! We do less climbing than Switchbacks, which means more descending, and I understand means WAY less climbing than FRS.

There's only one way to find out and I've paid already! should see you there next week, I'll be the one with the white disco slippers, and more descending than climbing is always a winner in my book!

Still looking forward to it more than a grown man really should ๐Ÿ˜€

That's me convinced, it's the picture of the pizza with an egg on it wot swung it for me.

I shall get it booked.
