I think CTBM is now importing the N9.

Edit.

Yep he is.

I have new thing coming.
Might have to run a competition to "ride Brants bikes whilst he has shoulder surgery". In on the 22nd. :-/POSTED 58 MINUTES AGO #
 REPORT-POST

Go on then, spill the beans. Although the fact that I've expressed an interest inevitably means it'll never happen - as per the x-lite forks and something else I wanted desperately but now can't remember...

There's a proto xx44 slack / 425-ish CS steel frame on it's way to me soon as a project bike, it has a trick up it's sleeve. A ti version would be nice, if it works out.

425-ish CS

how is that measured?

properly, or horizontally?

Why titanium?

because it doesn't explode in evil little black shards as soon a stone hits it or it feels like it and metal feels much nicer than string and glue 😀

Properly rather than rear-centre. I expect there'll be some less-than-perfect clearances with some gearing combos, it's just a try-out frame.

that Charge Cooker Ti frame is £1599 seemingly ouch 🙁

plus tapered head tube so I'd have to get new forks - bummer 👿

The Qoroz looks even better value now 😀

i'm very well fankyou mr slapp, don't worry about mojo, with the silly workloads, lurgey and the like we are all riding at particularly slow pace at the moment. in fact the other day i was overtaken by a snail carrying heavy shopping going uphill.

just come and play, I promise I won't let you crash into any more trees 😀

Had an xray on the offending shoulder recently and the doc says ligament damage which needs exercise. Can you recommend any activity which incorporates such a thing? 😀

Unfortunately Pete I appear to have pulled the head off the chicken, but the shoulder seems to be improving. 😀
You seem to have recovered pretty well from your injury and you're on a 29er as well.

Its a 19.5" frame which is slot drop out, so as you said it can run gears as well. I think you run an 18" Inbred, so I have attached a pic of one I used to have before moving to the bigger frame.

Why do ti frames and carbon forks look so right together?

If anyone wants rid of a large ti frame let me know...

No Pete, Ti is a keeper or until I decide to hang up my cycling shoes forever. Ive got a 19.5" Scandal in BRG I may part with, as I'm just not using either bikes at the moment. 🙁

Hey up Pete, hows it going? You not been well then? Ive had a severe case of idleitis of which apparently the only cure is a ride out with you and Tazz. Ive got me prescription so just need to know when I can come and play. 😀

Takisawa2, no probs I will stop now, but if you need a further fix, drop me a reply and I will send you some pics. 🙂

Can I ask the seasoned 29ers on here a question please.
I currently have 3 bikes - a Blur LTc , Cove Hummer and a Steel sanderson set up SS. i have never tried a 29er.

I hardly use the Hummer, and that previous post of the Canfield Nimble 9 resulted in last night researching on tinternet. I am tempted to trade the Hummer and get a Nimble 9.

Question is can 26 and 29ers co-exist , or will I want to change the other 26ers too. if so i dare not try 29 as i cannot afford it!!!

hope this makes sense - the NImble 9 looks like a hardcore ish hardtail with flickable handling and the apparent benefits of rolling, grip etc of 29er.

most 29er riders I know also have a 26" or two lurking about in their collection. That's the joy of bikes, have different things for different jobs/moods.

having said that my collection is now made up entirely of big wheel singlespeeds in various guises, but I'm a pervert

This however has nothing to do with your collection of singlespeeds does it? I've seen the way you flirt with Stu. 😀
