[#2608413]

I am after a bit of advice from the STW folk in the know ๐Ÿ˜‰

A bunch of us have been going on an annual trip the Coed Y Brenin and surrounding area for the past 4 years for a long weekend.

This year we fancy trying somewhere else, therefore can anyone give me some ideas of places to go mid country/Lake District for example

Scotland would be great but the travel time would just eat into too much of our weekend as will be driving up from S.Wales.

Also suggestions for accommodation would also be appreciated.

Looking for a pub with rooms that does good food, biker friendly and secure lock up and washing facilities for kit - too much to ask???

Thanks

Pete

how about the long mynd? Good article in recent issue of the magazine where you stay in funky cabin things.

Long Mynd is a good base, you can ride the Mynd and easily get to Ludlow for a day trip or link a ride over to Stiperstones and Eastridge, all natural.

Or: http://www.dalesmountainbiking.co.uk/ well worth a visit, they have things so well set up for mountain bikers with hostel, shop, cafe and pub nit far away
