I have these pedals on 3 bikes. The oldest ones, which must be around 6 yrs old have developed a loose and rattly spring on the left side, which is making cleat engagement awkward. Is there a fix, or is it goosed ?

I have several sets of the time atac xs and they all started to rattle. I then discovered that there is a small screw that operates a cam that I think is used to preload the spring. Turned it and no more rattles.
Check to see if your ones have the same screw.

Note to self. Bin off shed full of CB pedals and return to fit and forget Times.
