Hmm not sure of scuba diver vs Superman look.

Tights feel cut/shaped to the body rather than going outside of the padded shorts.

Padded shorts should be against the skin to wick sweat away?

Which way is it?!

Tights over shorts unless you are a caped superhero

whichever has the better chamois goes next to your arse

if the tights have no chamois, no contest

Where it how you want. There is no 'cool club' dress code you know! 😀

If the tights aren’t padded, I would wear them outside the padded shorts because pads protect you from evil seams

Why not just get padded tights and save the drama? I’m finding the dhb thermal ones for £50 are pretty good.

If tights go over shorts then they should go over baggy shorts too?

I just ask for consistency 😀

Technically yes.   I've always worn shorts over tights, for that leg warmer look.   But really the padded item should be in contact with your gooch...   best solution is get some padded tights.

Unless you value being able to strip off your muddy tights without streaking

How about no tights unless you are an actual lady?

No tights, just shorts. If its below -10 and you are not Scottish you can wear jogging bottoms, but on the understanding that they will make you colder once wet.

Try padded shorts, then Bib tights, then baggies.

I wear tights over my padded bib shorts on my road & gravel bikes.

On the MTB I wear them over my baggies.

Anyone know of a good lightweight summer tight for wearing with my baggies in summer?

The reason I ask is that I'm wary of getting bit by ticks when off road in summer,I wear a long sleeve base layer but haven't sussed the right tights/shorts combo.

Busta how do you wear tights over baggies?  Also for the summer there are loads of choices for under shorts personally I either use nothing or tights not bib.

They're commuter tights, looser fitting than the one's I use on the road bike.

Thanks, just not getting on with waist tights and padded shorts.

Now ordered a bib tight with built in pad.

Shorts or tights.

Wearing both makes you look like you've been dressed by your mum.

If you do wear both, don't forget to tie a piece of string to your gloves so you don't lose them...
