[Closed] Ticking noise from headset/spacer area

Ive got a Thomson stem and an integrated headset in a Kinesis Maxlight frame. I've got a spacer between the stem which is being a pain in the ass. No matter what spacer I try to use there is always a tiny little bit of play, this is causing an annoying ticking noise when out on the trail - no matter how clean the whole setup is.

For a temporary fix I have used insulation tape around the spacer - but this doesnt seem to last.

Has anybody had anything similar or have any constuctive advice to offer?

ps. Im using Fox Float RL 1 1/8"
