Well, they are when you slot them behind a steel post hidden in the ferns during a three point turn and then try to drive away... 😳
Unfortunately they now don't want to be bent/bashed back into shape by brute force alone, and I don't have a vice handy to allow me to really get stuck in.
Any suggestions?

If it was a no choice option and you was away on holiday..... I would suggest looping a rope around the bent rail, then onto a strong static object and another rope around the rear towing eye (rather than towbar) to the end of the rack... then just use the weight of the car to bend it SLOWLY!! (make sure you dont get rope whip though!!)
as it is only weak metal in the grand schemes of things... you could get away doing it on the towbar.. your call...
Seen this method a few times on bumpers when 4x4'ing !!
Other option... get someone who knows what there doing and heat it up !! 🙂
I did consider that, but my bodging generally makes things worse rather than better.
