can they be replaced?

Not as far as I know, but if its an old style one which had the pivot play problem then they were recalled & you can get a newer one for free, that was a while ago mind.

I contacted the chap in the states who makes tehm -and he said tehy could be - even the old style press in ones if he had the spares still. Later ones are more straighforward
