The clamp at the top corner of the arch that keeps the hose tidy, with the 2.5mm bolt. It's pretty tricky to fit at the best of times and feels very easy to accidentally cross-thread - especially if trying to do it with the wheel or a mudguard fitted.

What are people doing for thicker hoses? SRAM hose is 4.9mm, my new Hayes hose is 5.4mm. I gather Hope braided hoses are 6mm, and older TRP hoses are 5.5mm.

I've just fitted the clamp empty, and put a cable tie through it to hold the hose. Wondering if there are any better solutions that give a better angle and look neater.

Was the same on my old Fox forks. I think I just cable tied it and ignored the clamp altogether with Hope braided hoses.

To get the cable tie to hold the hose you can use a 4/5mm washer. Take pointy end of cable tie through the washer, round the hose and then back through the washer. As you then tighten the cable tie round the fork leg the cable will be forced to grip the hose around about 3/4 of its circumference. Much more effective than a single wrap.

Thanks, used the washer idea but with a cable tie instead to make it work for the situation.

NSB hose clamp time.

Same issue with my Lyriks and Goodridge hose, but it's fine with a NSB clamp.

£13! Probably fair for a little milled thing from a small company, the standard one is £7. Priced for the bling market.

I see that hose is 6mm, so should be fine. There are reviews on CRC about use with Hope hoses saying it doesn't fit well, or they had to modify it, or that the bolt was too short. But they're from 5 years ago so I wonder if something changed. I'll ask.

Funny isn't it, all the money I've spent over the years I spent months deliberating over buying the NSB clamp and sticking with zip ties...

Which then ****ed my forks and when I did order the NSB, works perfectly.

Fwiw, I'm using the Goodrich thicker hose here, non-braided...
