I have to go to Norfolk for an offsite work session for a few days so I'm persuading my boss to come out for a ride. Any idea if I can hire a bike for him up there? It would be a Thursday evening ride - probably starting c 6pm. He's a total beginner so doesn't need to be anything stunning.

You can hire bikes from Bikeart at High Lodge, but I think they close at normal shop closing times. So you would be stuffed at that time of day.
You also have to pay stupid money to drive to High Lodge on the toll road. Much better to borrow a bike if you can & park at Brandon country park.
Give them a call to make sure, but I am pretty sure they'll be closed or closing by 6pm.
they close at 5pm.the regular hire bikes are kona hardtails with dart forks but if you look closely they are specced down ie alivio grouset etc.there ok but only just.you can pay more for a premium bike which i belive means full sus but also means they have rarely been used and not used by familys out for a cruise etc so are a bit more mint.
