Are they all just hot air and emperor's new clothes? Or has there been a significant improvement in design?

I don't know much about either but I'm sure I recognise something from the Tantrum Missing Link design from somewhere. The NAILD R3act-2play, apart from being an awful name, seems a bit more of a fundamental rethink.

Has anyone ridden them? Might be difficult unless you're in the industry I guess. Or has anyone looked at the designs with a critical mech eng eye?

Your title is much better, though.

I'm factual, boring and to the point. ๐Ÿ˜

Due to their current production status (i.e. not) I doubt I'll get to ride one any time soon, coupled with the fact that I'm a tightarse and have only ever bought 4 brand new bikes.

NAILD R3act-2play

I expect Durex will be at them for copyright infringement on the name.
