There are fancy ones and simple ones and the ones with just an end piece on the cartridge. Can the latter be used without freezing your fingers (I'm thinking fingerless gloves here)?

What's recommended - for road and off-road use?

my simple one came with a neoprene sleeve to put round the cylinder. Works ok without any gloves.

I have a WrenchForce one, it has a trigger and a 'off/on' switch. That means I can get a couple of inflates out of my canisters (I run low pressure)
