I had a cracking week in the sun last week on the road bike, shorts and short sleeve jersey and this week I need full winter kit and mud guards. 😯
Lets see those fair weather roads bikes, race weapons, summer mile munchers or whatever you have got...

I was literally just about to put all my nice shiny new Ultegra stuff on this and then get a bike fit to get the most out of it, then the snow comes after 2 weeks trudging about in the sun on the winter bike with full guards and heavy as chuff puncture proof 25c tyres.

If I get a pay rise I'm getting a Giant TCR or a Tarmac though. This is a beautiful Sunday cruiser but it's no racer. It has only cost me £150 though.

I dont know whats happened to me. I've had some super light carbon beasts in recent summers, but I decided to ride a Surly Cross Check over this winter. This was my downfall. I loved it, apart from riding it uphills and trying to go fast, since it was a bit flexy. So I compromised and built this god awful thing up at the weekend. It climbs better than the surly, doesnt flex like the surly, but it descends like the surly and its highly unfashionable. Bargain for £240 for the frame.
