Not on your own. I can see your level of poor preparedness and raise you "no presents".

I see your 'No Presents ' and raise it to 'No presents + No cards + no ideas '
Im almost to the point of no intention as well.
Hate the fakeness of it all, plus the medja bleating on about 'Perfect Family Christmas' when domestic violence and divorce peak in the year.

Singletrackmind - so have you done nothing at all then?

Does actively misleading your Midlands-based family into thinking that you are going to be at your GFs house in Windsor for Christmas count as anti-preparedness?

I work in retail...
all i've heard since august is tosh about the second half being make or break.
i.e. Christmas. (i appreciate it is make or break.. but it's constant!)
If i hear the live aid christmas tune one more time i'm gonna start murdering people.

I enjoy the quiet way we approach the day in our house.. just the four of us.
Doors locked, phones off the hook with plenty of grub and none of the stupid false get togethers that other people seem to enjoy.

As for presents..very few.
Couple of joke ones for the lads i ride with, but usually i just buy a couple cases of beer for my mates and we drink it all in a big blow out before or after the 24th.

This year I am a proper employee and get all the public holidays plus an extra one off and still get paid, it's brilliant!

I love christmas ๐Ÿ˜€

I'm planning to burgle people's houses whilst they're out visiting rellies. Sadly, the Recession means less high-value pressies to nick. So it won't be a particularly lucrative Christmas for me I'm afraid. ๐Ÿ™

I am hoping for at least an Ecks-Bocks and a fancy 'phone or two. An iPad would be nice, but I don't want to raise me hopes. I fear it will be yet more Babyliss tat. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

Yep . Nothing at all .
No ones offered a wish list , mum is trying to get rid of 'stuff'
Bro is minted and buys what he wants , within reason
Sis + hubby same .
Looking forward to a a couple of days off as I have only had 1 days holiday since Easter.
No stupid tree in my flat , or decorations at all .
Got 2 cards tho!

I can't even bear to go food shopping. Just getting little Tesco man to turn up on Friday night with a truck load of alcohol and meat. Quite looking forward to it!

Not that fussed myself, but the kids will love it, and that makes it all worthwhile. I'll have a couple of weeks off work, I'll ride my bike as much as possible, and drink a bit too much.

I cant because,

millions without jobs,

Muddy trails,

cameroon still thinking people like him,and he is actually running uk plc,

queenie haveing a round the world junket next year, along with her family, and hangerson,

no snow,

town centres dying, along with construction and engineering,

multi million pound olympics next year, waste of money time and effort,

and peeps make such a fuss about christmas day, perhaps get a life and see whats happening round you may well help, and also think of those living on the streets, or about to be thrown out of their homes, possibly due to debt caused by spending to much at christmas.

We're flying to Sydney for 3 weeks on Sunday so avoiding it completely. It's a family get together though so I suppose I'm compromised. And an air ticket is a freakishly expensive pressie ๐Ÿ˜•

Me and the misses agreed to not get each other presents, and yet this evening while flicking through ebay she suddenly said i could have another bike!!

2 minutes later and a second hand Langster is heading the way of my shed

Do i have to get her something now?

That's quick work rusty ๐Ÿ™‚

Am avoiding all presents this year, but looking forward to spending time with friends and family. Especially so because I have barely left the flat recently due to fatherhood.
