I have just entered...

Anyone got pictures / stories / advice from last year they want to share?

What you going to be riding this year?

I'll start;

I've not done it before and I'll be going on my cotic solaris (which arrives tomorrow!).

Going to sign up this weekend.

Thinking of using the On One Ti 456.
First attempt at this bikepacking stuff, but thought I may as well jump in at the deep end!

Anyone from the chilterns / Tring / Hemel / London direction going? Could also ride part way and meet you en-route (Marlborough, Goring, Oxford-Thame ie Ridgeway corridor?). Car-less but happy to fund fuel and post-ride tea/cake/beer etc .

The bogs were only for those sporting fat bikes. 😀

Just signed up for it. Hooray!!!
Better get testing my packing skills.
Only running 1 x 9 gears. Do you think I need to put my triple back on the front?

@yetitony Depends on the route you choose for yourself based on the grid refs that Stuart sends out.
It's hilly! I'll be running singlespeed but I don't mind pushing up hills.

Hoojum - Think it may be an idea to have some easier gearing based on the fact it Wales and there are hills (unlike Essex where I live) and my bike will be loaded with kit.
Looking forward to seeing your bottled sunshine. Think we will need it.

There are if you decide to include some in your route.

The WRT wouldn't be the WRT if there wasn't at least one story a year about a 'lock in' in some bizarre pub in the middle of nowhere 😉
