And maintains his 100% record , despite my initial scepticism talking to John on the phone he came across cool , calm and reassuring.
Whatever secret sauce he's got going on it certainly works 👍
No need for details suffice to say he saved the day 👍
For those of us a bit further away, I can also recommend the Spokesman Bicycle Workshop near Shere. They got a very very stuck post out of my Fairlight recently.ย
Can anyone recommend someone in Bristol capable of removing a seatpost? Tried everything else, it's not pretty, might need reaming out. Cheers.

Give the guys a bikeworkshop a call, proper old school bike shop. If they can't, they'll know someone who can.

You have tried having bike upside down and pouring full fat coca cola in the bottom brack to fill the seat tube and help eat the corrosion?
If it is at the point where it needs someone with some magic abilities, then I'd suggest trying the coca cola before sending it off...just in case it can help do the trick.
Bike workshop is a good shout ta, must have skills to exist that long.
Yeah, initially poured various substances in to no visible effect; vice said nope, it's an alu tube in an alu frame which I think limits chemical options. Done the four hacksaw cuts to collapse the tube, some separation near the top but it's a long tube and I reckon it's beyond my capability; though I could just be paranoid about damaging the inside of the frame and not cutting deeply enough. And it's like a glitter factory.
Any suggestions other than the above appreciated.
bump in case anyone knows a qualified Bristol-based seatpost extractionist
