Remind me please - it's ages since I've had to do it....

....setting chain length on a f/s - it's round big chainring and big sprocket, not through mech and add 2 double links, isn't it?

I usually go big front, small rear, chain through mech as normal and have chain length such that jockey wheels are vertical or if you can't size chain to that then half a link slacker. Works on anything except short cage mechs

for a full sus you have to work out where the chain needs to be longest - ie at waht point in the travel the effective chain stay length is greatest - then its big / big plus 2 links

2 links as in one inner and one outer isnt it?

Thanks chaps. It's been a while! Good point TJ. Will stick to what I know but take the point that 2 links = 1 inner / one outer.

One inner and one outer plate would equal one whole link in my book
