Right (think skin suit on ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

Last night finished the build, lovely weather thought I would try and take those poised photos, I'll never see it so white again I thought. Off I pop down the road to get my bike in around some Dartmoor rocks. Found a good spot, got my camera out my pocket. Damn (I used stronger language at the the time) no memory card and older camera so has no internal memory. OK i'll pop back and get it. NOOOOOO you can't you've just got a flat tyre and coz you rushed out you haven't got a spare tube or puncture kit - 20 mins walk home in shame.......... ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

So I got these instead in the back garden - ๐Ÿ˜ณ LOL (BTW Ignore the steerer if you will)

So after all the advice you still forgot to put it in the big ring for the pics ๐Ÿ™„

I thought it was mtb's = middle ring and road bikes = big ring?

told you not to post kinesis pics, looks good but i think the white seatpost is too much, i'd have gone black seatpost white saddle

Blue fence stain is unforgivable.

Hey ! ๐Ÿ™‚

So you got it finished. Looks Ace !. Red parts seem to match the frame decal colours nicely. Overall, its a good job, imo.

Looks quick.

Nice work FoxyRider

i'd have gone black seatpost white saddle

+1

And all bikes should be photographed big ring, bottom of the block, looks daft otherwise. I forget which manufacturer it was, but they'd taken all their catalogue photos in granny ring/top of the block, looked ridiculous!

Cheers guys ๐Ÿ™‚

Blue fence stain is unforgivable.

Yeh have to paint it sometime but was like that when we moved in ๐Ÿ™ Its actually more of a shade of blue/grren in real life ๐Ÿ˜‰

Bu99er is that I swapped the rear mech to an old XT shadow that I thought was OK - Tisn't ๐Ÿ™ Jumping all over the place last night and on riding it to work for a test run this morning - swapped cassettes this morning and no difference really so I think I have to re-cable the back end and put the older XT non-shadow back on ๐Ÿ™‚

Note: Also seat needs to go back a little and front end up a nudge - very plush ride on the back end but seems pretty responsive - not as chuckable as the XC2 setup at the mo but I think the position changes will make a huge difference - seems to take me a few months to get it riding how I like ๐Ÿ™‚

BTW I had had enough taking pics after wasting 1 hour and not even doing any decent riding so I am afraid some of your tips slipped - i.e. like the chain position sorry ๐Ÿ˜•

I like. A lot. First white bike I've seen that looks nice.

The fence, on the other hand, is a crime worthy of a protracted and unpleasant punishment..!

NOOOOOO you can't you've just got a flat tyre and coz you rushed out you haven't got a spare tube or puncture kit

That's what you get for wasting time lining up the valves/logo ๐Ÿ˜‰

Lovely and I really like the build including the seatpost. May I suggest the subtle use of a couple of red spacers to compliment and balance the seatclamp and subtle red flashes elsewhere.

Nice build, I got a new XC120 yesterday, not going to open up for photos because it's already filthy, and I don't have time to re-paint the wall.

Loving it so far.

Puncture?

Its a new bike and you're still using innertubes? Schoolboy error.
Nice though, what's the frame weight?

My other 2 wheel sets are tubeless (on my Five) - need to save up (as spend too much already) for some stans valves/rim strips but will go tubeless at some point I am sure ๐Ÿ˜‰

Frame weight for med. 1520g.

Fence advice: I painted all mine Black. Makes them disappear [yes, really!] and plants really stand out against the dark colour.

stealth fencing.

You can sit in the garden and watch the cat staggering around the lawn holding its head saying 'where the f*ck did that come from'

OK, so when I said 'Disappear' I didn't really mean they went invisible!! Here's a pic

and this one

Only a STW thread could start out with an XC frame and end in fence colour debate!! Love it.

Nice. Very nice.

Agree on the white saddle/black seatpost comments.

I've ridden an XC Pro 2 for the last 3 years and it's a fantastic bike.

First 30 min off road ride to work this morning - I knackered - FANTASTIC - WOW its soo fast but nimble. The rear end is responsive enough to let you accelerate nicely but takes the small jolts out your back - Can't wait to take it on a serious long spin over dartmoor ๐Ÿ™‚

Hey, very nice looking!
Agree with the comment above ref the grips - something like below to get the 'collar and cuffs' to match. Got some of these on my FS.

Are you going to be at 24/12 this year? I'm doing the first 12hr. Need to get down your way for a trip around the moor soon.
