Saw this book on the Bikemaps website and was wondering what its like? Are the maps/routes easy to cross reference with an OS map/online? Saw it was only a tenner on here to subscribers but out of stock 🙁

I think it is a good book to have. As regards your question, I would say it depends on how much a route meanders and the amount of ROWs in any given area.

Used in conjunction with an OS map (check out my PSA of today for map offers) and/or mapping software, that should be possible.

Edit: 'practical overview' in the blurb.

IME its okay for cross referencing to OS maps as most areas dont have masses of bridleways together to confuse with

For areas that are missed out of the 'national park' influenced guide book series it can be useful for a bit of inspiration, the few comments/notes on a couple of tracks can be useful but for the most part it can have a feel, maybe more the areas less well visited, as though there is bit of include all the bridleways regardless of how 'good' they might be for MTBing or cycling at all

A few bits have had me questioning whether you are allowed where the book shows (including commented tracks), as I cant find any mapping (or read anything else) to suggest they're permissive
Then again Ive come across a few bits Id never across on OS mapping, V graphics guidebooks (a couple of other guidebooks) or enaywhere else that have been great permissive bridleways and other 'proper' bridleways Id never come across as recomended before

Sounds like it could be a reasonable buy then to keep to hand for when I'm on my travels.

Can any staff from Singletrack confirm if there are anymore coming into stock soon for the £10 deal?
