Want to send my fat bike from Surrey to Cornwall.
Obviously its a bit hefty who won't mind the weight and won't kill it?

Hi mate
I have used Parcel Force many times. As long as the box is under 1.5m
It stays within the large parcel category. The boxes I get from my LBS are usually 1.4m so I imagine that is standard.
You can drop it at your local post office as well, Instead of waiting in for a courier to collect or finding a depot on an industrial estate.
Also I find it strange that Yodel sponsor the Tour of Britain but don't ship bike boxes.
P.S. The weight limit is 30kg so no worries there. And if the recipient is not at home they can collect it from their local PO rather than the alternative.

I've just used cyclesent. Excellent service. They use APC. They can also supply you with a cycle box if needed.
