Frame from the classifieds, forks from the wanteds, wheels from a PSA - everything else from spares bin. I think the forks will have to go as they have too short a steerer for an XL Solaris (I bought them for a different frame) and even after sourcing a low stack stem, a low stack lower cup (removing the nicer Hope one) and filing down the top cover it is still a bit dodgy. Loving the reach and getting used to the high top tube.
Thank you to those involved in the transactions.
It is not my wall or weeds, I know the saddle is tipped forward, I ran out of C clips, this was a two hour throw together build....aligning logos can wait and a Deore mech on a Surrey bike because it works nicely with the 1x10.
Nice that mate, now go n get it muddy ๐
Cranks not aligned with the chainstay for the photo and the bike could be a little more upright but apart from that it's a really nice looking bike.
Always great to use up the parts bin!
