This morning, after my customary breakfast of a massive mug of black coffee, I hopped aboard my bicycle on a crisp, sunny morning.
It's an old bike, older than many posters on here, I'd imagine, but it's a good bike. Why is it good? Well, because it makes me smile. A lot. Freewheeling down the south side of Lambeth Bridge, smiling like a fool. Taking a moment to do a little roadie-chasing over the Col du Blackfriars, while of course making time to admire the glorious views in the morning sun.
The bicycle. Blooming marvellous thing, isn't it? ๐

It's great. I'd fight anyone who tried to argue it wasn't the best invention ever (unless they were trying to argue that a gun is the best invention ever).
That freewheeling feeling, just taking it easy and rolling along, it really is great!
Sometimes it's a struggle to get the bike out but by the time I get to the bottom of my road I am ten years old again with a big childish grin plastered across my face.
the bike brings out the inner child in us all. it's why i ride ๐

Absolutely. Here's my twitter update from 1 minute ago...
"Starting the week with an early frosty mtb ride, catching the sun rising over the Cotswolds. Perfect."
Absolutely agree. Just about to jump on mine and head home in the afternoon sunshine.
