I don't know any more than the pics show, but I'd guess the shock is in a bad way and been out away for some reason, thieves don't replace mounting hardware.

Locking the wheelbuilder in a castle seems a bit harsh, looks like they held up ok.

First you were giving him a house now you're giving him cake?

Heavy landing, exploding front tyre, big crash on right hand side maybe?

All im seeing is a snapped set of bars and a couple of scuffs on the TT. (And a missing shock).
I've snapped bars riding the Pentlands in the past.
Sliding past a couple having a picnic on their tartan rug on your arse at 30mph followed by your bike is in retrospect funny.

I'm told that mark on the top tube is a fairly massive crack.

I think he went wrong when he bought a handlebar rather than handlebars. He tried to turn right and realised his error. Alas it was too late

Im going with big drop, bar failure, followed through with balls-to-toptube dance move. Sings at a higher pitch these days, and has a droopy arm.

As far as I can tell the carbon bits broke - bars and frame - the metal bits are all fine ?

Also what's with the mud guard ?

I presume it's there due to the alps being a mud-bath!

Tank slapper of a landing put the bars into the frame, snapping and cracking respectively?

Came up short on the river gap in Chatel is the word on the street.

Which is quite an achievement, considering the landing is about 50ft long!

Surely the length of the landing is irrelevant it's the length of the gap that matters... if he overshot the landing however...

That's the point, the run into it is flat out, it's quite the achievement to come up short...

There's not much clearance between the rear wheel and the seat tube on those Cube bikes is there. ๐Ÿ˜‰
