im posting for a mate who has just been sent to work up there, he's interested in any off road routes nearby.

is there any around at all, any groups etc that go out that wouldn't mind him tagging along?

cheers

Hello

there are some trails in the very local area, best bet is to head up to banjo cycles in Newbury for group rides/trails advice. A little further afield you have south Oxford trails, streatley area. And then swinley forest in bracknell. I'm in thatcham and do the latter two mostly. If he is Interested in some options get him to email me

Pedal on in Tadley is also very close - worth popping in there as well.

There are some nice cheekies in Mortimer/Burghfield.
Jsut N of Reading is good.
Just S of Basingstoke is good.
Swindon/Marlborough area is excellent.
I (as in me) do a Monday eve ride from Burghfield Common at approx 6.pm
Just done a 14 mile local cheekie.

Some fairly reasonable trails in the immediate area. Pamber forest is good for a blat, plus plenty of bridleways just north of Thatcham. Know of some good loops around Hannington & Alton too.
