bugger... i think i've done my wrist in.
i had a similar sensation in my right wrist after a crash last winter. i ended up not being able to do very much for a few months and ended up with cortosone injections.
after two days of covering frames with fabric (involves lots of pulling, tensing of muscles and bending of wrist joint) i've now got a similar sensation in my left wrist; doesn't hurt when not moving it, or if i pick things up with my palm facing inwards. but if i pick something up or support a weight (doesn't need to be heavy) with my palm facing away from me i have a sharp sting pain from my wrist to the middle of my forearm.
is RICE the only option? (Rest. Ice Compression. Exercise.)
my biggest concern is that i've got a lot of work coming up over the next few weeks/months (although not similar to the work i was doing which has brought this on) that will essentially set me up for the rest of the year (i.e. what i earn now will pay for/cover my fixed yearly outgoings, anything over it is pocket money).
rest isn't much of an option as rest means no money.
any one suffered with this and have any info they feel is invaluable? any pills and/or supplements i should pop?
cheers
J

hmmm... i'm a bit sceptical of this kind of new age stuff.
we were talking about these magnetic wrist bands today at work and decided that they are for hippies that don't believe in god so instead they believe in magnets.... not taking the piss, just saying, like.
also this from their website puts me off the idea somewhat:
Trion:Z Colantotte is a health and lifestyle brand which produces magnetic and ionic therapy Wristbands, Necklaces and Body Supports.Using age old magnetic therapy, which is said to boost circulation, and ionic technology, to balance harmful ions caused by modern lifestyles,
don't get me wrong, i'm willing to give it a go. it's annoying not being able to carry shopping up the stairs or ride my bike.
are they just normal magnets? what sort of strength? i've got some strong "mega" magnets (ones that are really sodding hard to prise off of anything else that is magnetic - although they are probably quite impractical) that the GF could lace up into a wrist band.
Feeling your pain, I suffered for a year or two with alot of pain.
Get physio, this will hurt. But you should be pain free for a day or two afterwards.
Hit the weights big time. DB press, deadlifts, rows.Heavy and hard, power lifting type movements.
No supplements make that much differnce really, but knock yourself out.
Tried, mega dose vit c 5g day plus. Devilsclaw.Udoes oil. Glucosimine, chondtin, cisscus. May help out alittle.
Good luck.

Excuse spelling
Mate first started with one of these http://www.bioflow.co.uk/ did lots of reading about it and gave it a go.Magnets are different to the normal magnets but much stronger. As for being a bit hippie I thought that but gave it a try I guess it's what works for you.
