A few of us have been offered a loan of a van for a trip to Europe this summer. We're needing temp van insurance for 2 drivers with Euro cover. Any one got any suggestions or recommendations?
Quickly tried a couple of quotes online and they're more than I'm paying for a whole year insurance on the car!
Can you not be added as named driver(s) on the owners policy? That usually works out cheaper.
Not really, contractor I know though my job. Offered a loan of the vehicle only.

He does - the contractor. It's his work vehicle he's not going to need for a couple of weeks, in which I can borrow it.
I thought it was illegal to insure a vehicle that was already insured - don't you need to add drivers onto the existing policy?
If I was him I'd also demand evidence of breakdown (and bring home) cover.
