Currently got a 2007 one but now I want a more up to date version.
Gonna have to be s/h so looking for the best year for sub 1k.
1. What year was rear 'maxle' style dropouts introduced?
2. What year did the stiffer rear end come in?
3. Can you fit 2.5 tyres through the rear?
4. What year was tapered headset introduced? Will it take 1.5 steerer?
5. What year was the ISCG mounts introduced?
6. What are the head angles of the various years with 150mm forks? Thinking of Revelations.
I'm not averse to hearing about other makes, interested to see the alternatives. Needs to be relatively lightweight, 5 inches or more travel, good at climbing, good at descending, not bothered about big drops.

Basically theres been 3 versions.The original with the 'knuckle' top tub.The swoopy top tube one.And the swoopy tt one with tapered headset/bolt thru/iscg.
