The above wheels from 2014. Does anyone know if the dt240 freehub are interchangeable?
I've bought a next to new set off eBay and it's currently got a Shimano freehub. No big deal if I can't change it, but if I can will a DT240 straight pull hub sram one fit?

Short answer is yes, it will, assuming they have the star ratchet internals.
Just this week swapped the shimano on mine for XD, fitted straight in no probes. My wheels are from a 2015 epic so i’d imagine they are the same.

The one end cap required for the XD driver yep, brought mine off Ebay for £50 there was a bloke who had a few, there was one left not sure if it’s still there!
