Heating up now, this is ace. Surely Contador will fire his rockets soon...

No chance that Wiggins will atack at that pace. The slightest showing of any potential threat at the front and Contador will just hit the gas. I reckon at this pace they might just catch the last breakaway guy up the road.

Brad's not really positioned for an attack, shame.

Turn your TV off then. What do you think he should do? Go home, and watch TV and wait until he dies? What's wrong with him continuing to compete? Is he not good enough for you? Maybe you should let him know he has disappointed you so badly. I'm sure once he knew that he would quit straight away.

I don't think anyone is capable of an attack!
Anyone puts a nose out the front and Contador will counter straight away, I think he's capable of it now but just sitting there biding his time.

Id have said evans, but he just needs to sit there today. I'll say Basso @2 km to go - but Contador will pip him.

@ Realman, there is truly nothing worse than watching a once great sportsman try and carry on when he's not the man he was.

I would say he still is a great sportsman - one bad day doesn't make a tour.

I doubt that very much somehow. Like many once great boxers, they can't resist one last crack at the title, no matter what shape they're in.

Answer this, would you not rather be remembered as the guy who won so many tours than the guy who blew up and failed on his comeback parade, a la Schuey โ“

Guess Wiggins should just quit then, right?

I'm actually really impressed by Cadel Evans - much as I can't stand his whiny annoying voice, he's done incredibly well to hang in there.

FFS grow up, Wiggins is trying to win a grand tour - in all honesty it will more than likely never happen - he is not trying to wn back a title that was his for the keeping a few years ago

Stage 19 - Bordeaux Pauillac 52 km

This is the only time-trial stage of this edition. The route will wind its way through the streets of Bordeaux for fifteen kilometres, with avenues and buildings to shelter the riders. Then suddenly, they will leave the city and arrive in the open countryside, amidst the vineyards, because they will be passing through the famous landmarks of the Haut Mรฉdoc wine-making region, such as Margaux, passing one chรขteau after another. The finish is magnificent. On the face of it, this time trial will merely fine-tune the classifications; there is no way the seventeenth-placed rider will grab first place.

Great tour shaping up, Contador has real competition. Would be interesting to hear what the intentions of Sky tactics were. Keeping the pace high on the penultimate climb maybe helped that group stay together so long without any crazy accelerations on the last. Could have been a good tactic if they had the legs to see it through.

Sets up the rest of the Mountains nicely.

Good try Brad, but I can't see him taking that time out of Alberto, Andy or Cadel anywhere

Basso & Menchov (If he can stay on his bike) will be strong in the rest of the mountains. Contador and Schleck are in league of their own. Taxi for Armstrong or will he be able to magically 'recover' on the rest day?

Not the end of the world for Wiggo

14. WIGGINS Bradley 31 SKY PRO CYCLING 37h 59' 54" + 02' 45"

but at 2.45 down it won't be easy for him to get on the podium
