Has anybody used these chains?
Are they any good?

Merlin have them on a discount.
Guess that all depends on how you view chains.
If you neglect/abuse but change often, these could work.
If you abuse until end of life, these might end up costing money.
If you got wax, or look after and monitor a chain, I'd spend more for a longer life and durable coating to resist corrosion.
Even at full price, they don't look to be very high end chains
I have no first hand experience of these.
Not used that chain but I have a single speed Taya track chain on my commuter. 18 months and still shiny and new. It was less than a tenner if I remember correctly.
Bought one recently along with a new slx cassette. Doesn't seem to run very happily and rattles as if out of index. Put the old slx one on and all good. Lesson learnt!

Yes- I bought this exact chain from merlin. I put it on when replacing the drivetrain at the end of april. So a completely new chainring and cassette. It lasted 1.5 months before being worn to 0.5. I used two different types of parktool chain checker just to confirm. Total distance covered in that time was ~ 300Km in relatively dry conditions on a non ebike. Merlin assured me it couldn't be fake as they buy directly from the manufacturer but this performance is so poor I have my doubts. I have used Taya Onze chains before on the same drive train and one of them lasted over a year for similar riding.
Interesting to read.
I stuck to KMC in the end
