any one know where you can get them cheap?

a mate is after a set of plain black carbon UD finish ones - but all of the china carbon ones i can find are straight 1&1/8th.

if china doesn't do them on ebay then I am guessing there's no bargain source unless he wants SH.

yeah - thats what i'm thinking - it seems you can get a tapered 29er fork for less than £80 but not a road one for less than £150....

just check what kind of taper - some are 1 1/4 lower bearing, whereas others are 1 1/2 inch.

you'll be suprised - more and more modern road bikes are getting tapered head tubes - the mate in question bought this....
