There's a sort of sticky tape stuff you can get that wraps round your handlebars a few times so that when you zip-tie down your (Ay-Up) light mounts they stay solidly in place. I'm sure it's tape that you have to peel the back off, then stretch round. Any ideas?
I had some a couple of years ago, but can't remember the name, and now I'm wanting to mount my lights on a new bike.
Apologies for the waffly nature of the question.
I use black insulation tape as it is cheap and lasts ages.
Is it self amalgamating tape?
Could be Tracker. Cheers.
Electrical cloth tape- sometimes called loom tape- would be ideal, it's low adhesive and has a very grippy surface. Self amalgamating tape's handy but I'm not sure it'd be ideal here as it doesn't stick, only the elasticity would hold it in place.
i just use insulation tape but the cloth stuff sounds good
biketart did some rubber stuff that bonds to itself ( used on chainstays)
Cheers for the replies guys.
