...swallowed by the ****less like some gloopy load from the (marketing) director

the following terms have been used in actual non-ironic posts, on here:

"all mountain" - what you ride up [i]and[/i] down, phew gnarly
"aggressive xc" - you're angry?
"xxxc" - you mean cxxx, right?

what amazes me more is that people use these terms with reference to trail centres and areas like the Peak district. Trail centres that are rideable on virtually any bike and the Peak that was originally ridden by weird-beards on 22" trekkers (not trekkies). So come on people, get a grip, you're a [s]bloke[/s] person riding around in the mud being uncool (but having mucho fun)

I still remember the looks and comments Richpips and I got last year overtaking a bunch of MTBers on the Shooting Cabins descent in the Peaks. We were on our cyclocross bikes...

So what category does 'just riding a bike fit' into nowadays!!

XXXC - FFS I though I'd heard it all till I saw that on here today!

(*like doing uppy bits, alongy bits and downy bits, and doing that several times over a reasonable distance)

i have a Helius [b]AM[/b], a [b]Hardcore[/b] HT, a [b]singlespeed[/b] pub bike and a commuting CX'er......
