Hi all,
I am very sure I am being very dim but...
What shock pump do I need for a rear shock (Fox RP3) and which do I need for the forks (Fox F100 RL)?
Will one pump do the trick for both?
Why would I pay a fortune for some pumps when others cost a fraction of the price?
As far as I can see some pumps are marketed for either forks or rear shocks but are essentially the same despite being referred to as either high or low pressure. Am I right in thinking the display on one is easier to read small changes in pressure (e.g. 1 PSI) so is easier to acheive a specific value of pressure? I hope this makes some sense!
Basically I need to set up my new bike and would greatly appreciate any help ๐
Many thanks, DanW
Ask on the forum for one. People tend to have spare ones lying around and you'll get one for a tenner or so.
One pump does both ends.
Worth getting a decent one with a no loss valve if you're feeling flush.
In my experience it doesn't really matter how easy it is to read the scale, as after a bit of experimentation with pressures close to those specified by the manufacturers I just keep the arrow pointing to the same point each time
Thanks all- pretty much what I thought but always good to have the reassurance.
I will hop on the classifieds now and see what is around ๐
THe best I've used is Magura.
