Hi,

I'm currently running Minion DHR II on front and rear.

What can I swap them for that is in stock?

I want 27.5/2.6 and they need to work through a Peak District winter.

Also, they currently have tubes in and I want to go tubeless.
Wheels are tubless ready. Do I just need valves, sealant and an Airshot.

Cheers,

Mick

Maxxis Assegai, DHF or Shorty for my money, no idea where has stock though.

You’ll need rim tape also.

Wheels may well be tubeless ready, but that doesn't mean they're taped, best to check.

I've an addix soft 2.6 650b Mary that's barely been used if you're interested.

I’d probably pick up a Magic Mary or Wild Enduro for all round riding and heading towards winter. In the summer / slightly less slop filled months (not w given in the UK) I run a DHF on the front.

On the back I’ve not found a better option than a dhr2 to be honest. 2.4” one is pretty big and cuts through mud well. I guess if you couldn’t find one of those than a 2.6” Forekaster might do a job - I run one year round on my hardtail - but it’s an exo casing one so I’m running a Rimpact in there as it’s quite light for it’s size. Maybe if they make an exo+ / DD version of it that could work in the peaks. It’s a faster tyre than the DHR2 but has found decent grip for me in mud - run it with a 2.6” Magic Mary upfront in mud.

Don't buy an airshot unless you need one.
You're also welcome to borrow mine if you're on the Hayfield side of the Peaks.

If the DHR on the front isn't worn out (or similarly the one on the back), it should be fine on the back in winter. I use a Specialized Butcher on the front and they're available.
