Building up a new frame for my christmas present and I am going to change the piston caps on my mono M4's to match the rest of my hope kit.
Are they easy enough and do I need a tool to get them out can I bodge one up.?
You need a special tool, otherwise you'll end up damaging the anodizing if you're not careful.
And the brakes will need to be bled of fluid beforehand too.
Will I need any seals ect... While I am in there.?
you will certainly want the tool!
no point in buying nice coloured borecaps, and then scratching the crap out of them with a pin spanner or something!.
seals come on the caps dont they?
if it were me, i would take the pads out, and then see if i could do it just by being careful.
no reason why you shouldnt be able to get them out and replace them, then squidge the bit of air out the caliper.
no need for a "full bleed" i wouldnt have said
