Thinking about making a purchase, like the ambit as it fits on my arm so less likely to damage it and can also use for other sports.
What do other users think?
What about the Garmin Fenix? Looks like it has a slightly better batterly life/GPS recording resolution. Doesn't look as nice as the Ambit though.
Get yourself over to DC Rainmakers Blog to understand the Ambit and the Fenix. Not sure I'd use them (yet) for cycling.
I'm using a Garmin 310XT for cycling, running etc and am really getting on well with it.
I use the Ambit, it's great and offers far more fitness analysis than the Fenix. I believe it's better made too.
But the Fenix has a few functions over the Ambit, mainly the ability to create a route without using a computer. With the Ambit you can create POIs on watch and routes on the computer only.
The recording resolution is the same.
