Im struggling to find a solution to the surly Tugnut ive just fitted.
im using a shimano QR,and the surly has the washer thingy so you can use the tugnut with QR's,
yep tightened up the qr properly, but there's still play, and it seems its the qr rattling in the surly washer,
when tugnut is'nt fitted theres no play in the frame, yet with it fitted there is play.??

hope bulb, nowt wrong with freehub or bearings btw.

any ideas?

Is the inside of the tugnut washers bottoming out on the end of the axle?

If it is file a bit off.

Sounds like it might be.

Put the washer in the other way round or leave it out just to try it.

Right them.

Things I'd check/try.

Make sure the washer doesn't stick out of the inside of the tugnut.

Try it without the washer to see if that makes it betterer or worserer.
If the QR's tight it shouldn't move at all.
