In my next life I will definitely leave one day with a short board and never come back.

Wow - that's really well done!

Surf vids with wave after wave and nowt else get dull very quickly - that doesn't.

Good swell heading our way this weekend. Should be fun! I do think I will come back though after deciding whether to take the 6'2" thruster or the 6ft quad. Or if it gets a bit sizey, the gunnier 6'3"

Veeery nice - bit far from Cornwall though!

Should be chunkyish and fun but not Thurso fun. Hopefully Leven will work again soon.

Cold onshore Porthtowan is MUCH more fun... ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

Actually the Bays might well be firing at the weekend.

Been to Ericeira twice - love surfing Portugal - enjoy!

I'm getting very excited!

We'll be away from peniche apart from when spectating to avoid the pros and wannabes. Any recommendations within say 80km for an intermediate?

Leggy - not been as far up as Peniche but I highly recommend Santa Cruz (!) just South of it - that's where the top pic was taken.

Heavyish beach break that catches most swells but definitely surfable by an intermediate.

Ribeira d'Ilhas just north of Ericera is also a cracking break (in the 2nd pic) - half reef, half beach and a real swell magnet. Nice beach too - about 30ish mins from Peniche.

If you want to scare yourself sh1tless, check out Coxos - utterly mental RH reef surfed by nutters.

Almost imported Semente (local surf brand and shaper) kit to the UK so got to know a few locals pretty well.

Nice. Similar to sipping jetstreams.

Waiting for NE point & reefs to fire this winter. Got a taster a couple of weeks ago.

Really disappointed with Porthtowan all last week. Only got really nice on Saturday morning when I was leaving. Just not impressed with it as a break really.

It was rather lovely wasnt it ๐Ÿ˜€

Video reminds me of Sliding Liberia

Not quite on the same lines as the OP but did anyone happen to see the Cloudbreak Vid on MSW the other day? Made a pleasant change from other surfing videos and the waves are just epic

Think a trip to Machrihanish might be in order.

It is rather special. His actions at the end just say it all. Probably still buzzing from it now....I know I would be ๐Ÿ˜€
