A puncture yesterday meant we popped a tube in the rear of sons bike.
His Electro Hub then lost all free hub resistance, as soon as we took wheel out it was clear that freehub had popped off, and springs and pawls damaged and fallen out.

Is it normal for the end caps and free hub to be so loose?

Is SS the only place to sell a new pack of pawls and springs - I think SS hubs are another brand with different sticker on.

Have you contacted them? Their warranty and customer service has always been excellent in my experience.

Novatech, but just get them from superstar if you can. I’ve not had any problems, generally seem reliable hubs

Cheers all - superstar is £20 for springs and pawls, so will just do that. I'm used to my £3 hope spares on eBay 🙁

We had this problem, superstar claimed it was normal and not an issue and they use the same system as every other manufacturer. I kicked up a fuss and they supplied new bigger o rings for the end caps, it has fixed things. It's worth seeing if you can get that done even if you need new pawls.
